We are a design studio based in El Salvador, dedicated to creating objects and spaces with unique artisanal methods.
We celebrate the art of making, every project is a reminder that beauty and value are not only found in the finished product, but also in the journey of creation.
Quinta Esencia was founded in 2018 by Artisanal Product Designer María José Irula and Marketing Strategist Fernando Guzmán.Together they share a strong passion for hand crafted objects and the stories they hold. From a tropical background they gather inspiration from the local imaginary and keep curious about the possibilities of materials and traditional techniques, with an approach of innovation and experimentation.

LOCAL
We prioritize sustainable, culturally sensitive designs
using local materials and manual techniques,
inspired by the rich imagery of Salvadoran surroundings.
ETHICAL
We are dedicated to promoting fair trade practices
that benefit all parties involved. We seek to create
a more just future for the new generations of creators
through mutual respect, dialogue, transparency,
and sustainability.
CURIOSITY
In our shapes, experiments, and assemblages;
artisanal techniques and design processes reveal
their versatility and innovation.
HUMAN TOUCH
In our handcrafted objects, we find connections with the
people who made them, their stories, cultural background,
and the ideas and creativity that gave birth to the object itself.
COLLABORATION
We love to collaborate with other professionals who share our
vision to make unique custom-made pieces.
SLOW MADE
Our pieces are produced in limited quantities, allowing our
team to work with intricate processes at a slow pace and
well-being practices.

Some objects transcend their material worth, becoming invaluable through the meanings they hold for us.
Objects can boost economies, instill pride, and ignite creativity within communities. They serve as vessels of memory, repositories of emotion, and catalysts for connection. In their depths, they hold stories untold, waiting to be discovered and cherished.
